Amazing Restoration!

Dental Veneers from Midtown Dental

Veneers provide an amazing dental makeover.  Veneers can lengthen short or broken teeth, disguise minor crookedness, and cover irregularities or stubborn stains that can’t be removed by regular whitening techniques.

There are two types of veneers; porcelain and bonded (composite) – both bio compatible.  Porcelain veneers are the strongest of the two, but bonded are quicker to place.

If your teeth are suitable for them, dental veneers are your most direct cosmetic augmentation.  Midtown Dental is happy to evaluate your teeth and make a recommendation.

Porcelain Veneers

With superior strength and durability, porcelain veneers are constructed of very thin ceramic porcelain that is  bonded to the front surface of your teeth enamel. Highly resistant to stains, porcelain veneers are permanent and look entirely natural.

Very much a manual process, porcelain veneers are made using the highest quality ceramics where each tooth is individually designed and colored, and placed with the upmost care and precision.  Sometimes, a few revisions are required for perfect placement.

Your natural teeth with need some preparation prior to installing the veneers.  Temporaries are created and used for shaping and coloring as we together tweak the mockups for the ultimate characteristics.  Once the prep stage is completed, impressions are taken and sent to an expert  lab where we work directly with the ceramist on your final hand-layered porcelain veneers.  Your temporary veneers are removed and the permanent ones are placed using a temporary glue.  Any changes and corrections are made before the veneers are permanently cemented in place.

Composite Resin

Bonded Veneers

Bonded veneers are made of composite resin and are constructed and shaped by the cosmetic dentist.

Also called direct veneers, the process for this type of veneers is much simpler than porcelain and the completion time is significantly less.   Still, it’s vital that your cosmetic dentist is skilled and experienced in crafting and placing bonded veneers.

While not as strong., durable or stain resistant as porcelain, bonded veneers are completely reversible and are an excellent choice for a quick and convenient makeover.
